We Must Stick to The Word

In Romans 1:24 the Bible says, "God gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves."  There is a time when God will no longer strive with a person who continues to choose their own way.  We are seeing this today in America.  People who call themselves Christians choosing their own way, even though God is clear in His Word what is right and what is wrong.  He does not make it grey, or uneasy to comprehend.  The problem is that many do not believe that His Word is who He is.  John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." One cannot separate Jesus from The Word.  If you want to know who God is, then look at His Word.  Through the Word we begin to see who Jesus is.  And Jesus said to Philip in John 14:9, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father."  If we really want a close relationship with God we must start in His Word.  Then we discover who Jesus really is.  And then we are brought closer to God.  We then want to obey His Word, because we learn to trust that our true Father cares for us and wants the best for our lives.  All of the sins taking place today in America are a direct result of individuals choosing their own way instead of God's way.  We must repent of our sins and truly turn back to Jesus.  He can take a messed up situation, a messed-up life, and bring healing, redemption, and wholeness.  It's never too late!!!
