In Jeremiah 17:14 the Bible says, "Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall by saved, for You are my praise." The Bible also says in Romans 10:13, "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." It's not rocket science. It's simple. Even a child could do it. 'So why is it so hard to lead someone to Christ?' This is what many Christians believe. That leading someone to Jesus is for the church superstars, the pastors, the strong and vocally loud individuals. Some church studies show that less than 5% of American church going Christians have ever shared there faith even one time. But when we realize that it's not our ability, our resources, or our strength but rather on the strength of Christ. Zechariah 4:6 tells us it is "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord." We need to get filled up with The Spirit of God. Some people are already filled, some are not. When we get filled with His Spirit we become like the disciples after Jesus poured out His Spirit on them in Acts 2. Before, they were trying to serve Jesus in their own strength. Peter was making all sorts of mistakes, not exactly leading a lot of people to Christ. Then He got filled with The Spirit of God and in one day he led over 3,000 people to the foot of the cross. Wow! What a difference. When we step out in our own ability, it will never work. But when we, like the disciples, wait on The Lord until we are empowered with His Spirit, then we go out with all of heavens armies at our disposal. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 that we should "go into all the world and make disciples." But He also said in verse 18 that "All authority has been given to Me." We must walk in His authority and His strength, and that only happens as we intentionally make time to wait on Him, seek Him, and desire all that He wants to impart to us. Jesus said, "or what man among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" (Matthew 7:9,11) As we wait on Him by faith, expecting to receive good things from Him, He never disappoints.
